Our authentic organic stone house "MAS LES ROMARINS" is located in the charming village F-30580 La Bruguière, situated on a hill, 10 minutes from the historic, lively town of Uzès, near Pont du Gard, Nimes, Avignon, Ardèche, Cévennes, 1 hour from the sea, numerous rivers, hiking, mountain biking, weekly markets, family holidays, scent of lavender and rosemary, pure relaxation!

WORTH KNOWING – lovely:
“MAS LES ROMARINS” is a typical southern French former farmhouse (mas), the foundations of which date back to the 17th century. It was initially built as a long building on a small farm made of sandstone with vaults for stables for goats and cows on fertile grassland, with a former living room and hay barn on the first floor. Then, as the farmer’s family grew, a transverse building in the L was added in the 18th century, with further stables in the vaults and in the two-story part of the barn above, a silk spinning mill (“magnagnerie”) was set up, as was common in the region at the time. At that time, the rural region experienced a boom, as silk and fabrics for the weaving mills in Nîmes were produced (see fabric name "denim"!), which were shipped all over the world via Genoa = Gênes [Jeanns], hence the origin of the name JEANS for the fabric used in work clothes! In the 19th century, the L-shaped building was expanded to become a rectangular stone-facade building. The house was renovated in a modern style, preserving the historical elements and without any allergenic substances!
