Summary: We had a mixed stay at this hotel. The standout features were the pool area and the daytime reception staff. The pool area is clean and lovely to relax around, and the pool dining setting was great. The daytime receptionist—a lovely older lady was extremely helpful, kind, and a wonderful face to meet at check-in and check-out. The rest of the pool and serving staff were also great, and the hotel was cool about guests bringing back takeout from the fantastic pizzeria just down the road (which was helpful since on-site pool food options are virtually non-existent). ​Unfortunately, several major issues soured our experience: ​Room Size & Climate Control: Decor was fine and everything was clean, but the room for three guests was ridiculously small to the point of feeling claustrophobic. Worse, the air conditioning barely worked during our stay in early July. It was miserably hot, and we didn't sleep a wink. ​Broken Facilities & Views: Our room's sliding door was broken and opened onto a dreary balcony that directly overlooked other balconies. ​Appalling Evening Service: The male staff member working the afternoon/evening shift was shockingly rude with a serious attitude problem. When he came up to help with our stuck sliding door, he immediately accused me of breaking it before I had even opened it. His behavior was so aggressive that his younger female colleague looked genuinely mortified by how he spoke to guests.
