Positive: Helpful check in and given very convenient ground floor room as my husband is unable to walk far. Great support from lounge staff, especially from Anna. Excellent Italian a la carte, outstanding in every way. Also really enjoyed the wonderful service and food from the Romance beach restaurant (I think this is called the View). Very helpful room attendant. Nice soft cushions on deck chairs on beach, very important for my husband. However this hotel is a tale of two halves.

Negative: The main buffet dining room was a shambles., completely chaotic. We were very upset one evening in there when my husband was very uncomfortable and moved to a soft chair just outside the limits of the outside seating area. I had gone to get two coffees and some pastries for pudding but was stopped from taking them just to my husband who was sat just outside the outside dining area. Even when I explained he was in pain the way was still blocked. Eventually when I got upset the manager changed his mind . If more focus was out on clearing dirty tables, having plenty of soup/yoghurt/desert bowls and enough cups )there are only two self-serve coffee machines) rather than having a guard on the door things would be better. On our final morning it was like a Laurel and Hardy comedy - it took nearly 30 mins to get some pancakes while three men behind the counter argued about who was going to do what. Why do staff continually only bring a few bowls basins etc and they then disappear quickly? Are there not enough bowls plates etc to begin with? The oriental restaurant is not accessible, it is up two flights of stairs and there is no warning on the booking. Also wine by the glass is not included, only by the paid bottle? Very disappointing. The toilets by the beach are absolutely foul, even allowing for the difficulty of keeping beach toilets clean. Our hotel stay was not cheap and there are many better hotels around this price point. Management in charge of the beach view restaurant and the Italian should be promoted and given free rein to improve the main buffet restaurant.

Summary: Some excellent some chaotic.
