Positive: Entering this Riad is like stepping back in time. Beautiful original architectural features. Our room was large (although the bathroom was a bit tight). The staff was always pleasant and helpful and it’s our requests. FYI - The Riad stairs are not for the feint of heart.

Negative: The hotel operation seems to be overshadowed by the restaurant operation (Ruined Gardens … good food at an excellent value). The same staff members manage and service the restaurant and the hotel. Our arrival was confusing and a bit chaotic. No one took time to share information about the Riad or provide a map for the Medina. Daily cleaning including fresh towel service was not provided. Although the room was gorgeous it was not comfortable.

Summary: Good value but expect minimal service
