Summary: I had an incredible stay in the Merzouga Sahara Desert, at this camp which perfectly situated at the foot of the highest sand dunes and near a beautiful lake. The atmosphere was amazing, the king-sized bed was cozy, and the authentic food was absolutely delicious. Ahmed, the manager, and his team were warmly welcoming and went above and beyond to share the rich history and culture of the desert. I particularly appreciated Ahmed’s insights into fossils and the ancient creatures, like the Mesosaurus and dinosaurs, that once inhabited the area. It was the highlight of my trip to Morocco, and I can’t wait to return with my family soon!
