Positive: The building and surroundings is like something out of a ferry tale. The food in the restaurant was outstanding and the waiters were very nice and polite. Dining in that ancient environment was quite breathtaking and I guess we got lucky because the locals were having some sort of medieval music festival nearby which only added to the atmosphere. This was an overnight stop in a longer road trip and this hotel had the very best and most comfortable beds that we experienced on the entire trip. Real spring mattresses! The AC worked fine and they had their own private parking on the premises which was nice and convenient.

Negative: Putting an elevator in an ancient building like this would of course be out of the question, so the upper floors will probably not be for everyone, just something to be aware of.
