Summary: We feel so fortunate to have spent 8 days in late October at Anne’s gorgeous kasbah. We are a London-based family with three young children and could not have asked for a better holiday than to spend time together in this exquisitely-designed, comfortable and safely-enclosed property. We were able to truly relax as the children played in the magical gardens, fed the wild tortoises, swam in the large heated pool (gated, thanks to our host’s kindness), and chatted endlessly with the unparalleled Oumlaid (housekeeper and chef) and beloved Ihmed (property manager and source of endless entertainment to our children). Oumlaid is a top-restaurant quality chef whose meals were so outstanding we wanted nothing else all holiday. And Ihmed’s considerate organising ensured we had a taxi with car seats available at any time to take us on daily adventures - Essaouira, Sidi Kaouki, and all the special little beach clubs along the coast were easily accessible within 10-15 minutes of empty roads. We won’t hesitate to hire a 4x4 next time as the driving is very straightforward! Above all, we are grateful to our host Anne, who was endlessly kind and accommodating from before we even booked and throughout our stay. We wish her, her family, and her extraordinary staff all the very best and hope to visit again as soon as possible.
