Positive: Beautiful area The Palace was a great part of our trip and staying right across from it was convenient, and a very easy landmark to help us settle into the lay of the land. Nice and quiet compared to the downtown, which was flooded with tourists. We ended up on the top floor - 3rd "floor" in Europe (4th in USA English haha) The building was modernized, but still felt like staying in a historical residence. Especially with the Ajuda palace right outside. Felt like we were staying AT the palace - and heck - we kinda were. Thanks to the staff and owners of this lovely building.
