Summary: A five star hotel that has visions of being a luxury hotel, but doesn’t quite hit the mark. Rooms were of a good size and bathrooms beautifully designed. The pool area is well maintained and in a picturesque setting. Choices provided at breakfast were extensive, however when seated in the Adult Only area we were with families with children on more than one occasion. Meals in the restaurant were okay but extremely expensive. Service etiquette was also not quite five star with plates not being delivered to the table at the same time, and meals going cold whilst waiting for others to receive theirs. Disappointed that a five star hotel does not provide an iron or steamer in the room. We were also incorrectly charged for a mini bar item which we did not have. The location is isolated and a car is a must to get around and see some of this beautiful island. A car also allows you to shop and eat at more competitive prices. An Aperol in spritz at the hotel was €25 and a simple pizza €26, compared to €10 and €12 whilst visiting Olbia. We would definitely visit Sardinia again but not this particular hotel. Our trip was split with the W Sardinia at Polto Quatro which is truly a luxury resort! The staff are amazing, and the provisions and amenities were out of this world. The hotel sits in a small port and its beach is a short (free) speed boat transfer away on an idyllic nearby island. True luxury!
